From station design to trackwork, SYSTRA’s Infrastructure Group provides a wide variety of integrated expert services. Our engineers are industry leaders with an unparalleled depth of experience with conventional commuter rail, light rail, freight rail, and high-speed rail systems. We offer clients a dynamic approach to any project’s design and implementation through our unique ability to draw on multidisciplinary resources. Each of our infrastructure disciplines work in tandem to seamlessly integrate complete design solutions that exceed client expectations.
SYSTRA’s Civil Engineering Group provides a variety of services in support of rail and bus facilities and works closely with all inhouse disciplines. Group tasks typically include flood proofing/ mitigation, stormwater design, compliance with water quality regulations, permitting, utility service accommodations, roadway vehicular access, parking layout and all other related tasks to support project goals.
Track and Right-of-Way
SYSTRA’s Track Engineers have extensive experience in concept development, final design, construction support and design build services. Our team can support challenging configurations of alignment and special trackwork integration as well as yards and complex shop facilities.
SYSTRA’s Structural Engineers provide complete design and inspection services for a variety of rail facilities. These include rail stations, foundations, retaining walls, parking structures, central instrument location (CIL) buildings, and bridges with commuter, freight, and high-speed rail capacity.
SYSTRA’s Industrial Engineers are experts in design and construction of maintenance facilities for rail, bus, and other heavy vehicle facilities. Our staff has extensive experience with space planning as well as the development of functional requirements to meet particular vehicle and client needs. SYSTRA is intimately familiar with all specialized lifting and machine tools used in rail maintenance facilities, including in floor and portable car lifting systems and wheel truing machines.
