Live from APTA TRANSform Conference & EXPO 2021
SYSTRA USA showcased our expertise and services as an exhibitor at the APTA TRANSform Conference & EXPO, November 7-10, 2021.
From our booth in a premiere location, we made an impression on visitors, highlighting our work across the nation with clients such as Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), and Austin Capital Metro. We also focused on our innovative services, leading train control modernization projects for New York City Transit (NYCT) and BART, taking a holistic approach to systems design, optimizing agency maintenance and operations, and managing systems integration.
Frederic Bana, chief operating officer, was one of 36 professionals from the US and Canada selected for the Leadership APTA Program Class of 2022. Leadership APTA is the transit industry’s premiere senior and executive leadership program, paving the way for the next generation of visionary senior and executive leaders of APTA and the public transportation industry. Kimberly Slaughter is the chair of the Leadership APTA Committee.
As a cohost of a reception celebrating women leaders of transit agencies, SYSTRA USA demonstrated our commitment to equity and access for women in transportation. The event was very well received and attended, and even drew the attention of Nuria Fernandez, Administrator of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).
There was excitement and buzz around the recently signed $1.2 Trillion Infrastructure Bill, which provides about $550 billion to build and maintain roads, bridges, railroads, ports, and other traditional infrastructure across the US.
SYSTRA is looking forward to supporting our client’s with what’s next in public transportation, including electric buses and emerging mobility.
