In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, SYSTRA is overseeing the high touch point disinfection of 310 NYCT stations.

SYSTRA was commissioned by NYCT to oversee the high touch point disinfection of NYCT stations, managing the disinfection of 310 stations nightly, to ensure the safety of passengers during the Covid 19 pandemic.

Before the disinfection contracts were awarded, SYSTRA drafted the scope of work and assisted NYCT’s procurement team with selecting vendors via contractor interviews and vendor demonstrations. The team developed the scope for each station by developing high touch point asset lists, lengths of handrails, and station public square footage within a week of program commencement. The team has also helped NYCT identify best practices for efficient disinfection of the high touch point surfaces.

SYSTRA is spot checking the work of 17 vendors nightly for following new cleaning and disinfecting procedures that are the most aggressive in the agency’s history.
