Our staff features professionals who have received the 2019 Outstanding Public Transportation Business Member Award from the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) and were inducted into the APTA Hall of Fame.
Through our connection to RATP, Paris transportation operator, and SNCF, we have access to the latest global technologies and resources. SYSTRA combines this with the perspective and firsthand knowledge of our staff who are former railroad employees. SYSTRA is registered to provide engineering services in 24 states and a third of our engineering staff are licensed Professional Engineers in 15 states and/or hold other certifications such Designated Design-Build Professional™, Certified Construction Manager, Project Management Professional, LEED Accredited Professional, and Registered Architect.
SYSTRA’s professionals are members of various organizations and code committees, responsible for drafting new code legislation in their respective fields. For the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), our professionals serve on the Rail Transportation Standards Subcommittee for Traction Power Systems of the Vehicular Technology Society and the committee responsible for Standard for Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) Performance and Functional Requirements. SYSTRA hosted a standards workshop in conjunction with the IEEE to update and complete Volume 1 of the CBTC Standard 1474.1 - Standard for CBTC Performance and Functional Requirements.
We participate in industry conferences and our professionals often serve on technical panels such as at annual APTA conferences, CoMotion LA, and Mobility 21.
