Operations Analysis

Operations Analysis experience at SYSTRA ranges from conceptual "sketch planning" of rail network physical improvements, operations simulation to support planning studies and engineering to detailed operating plan/schedule development for service implementation/modification. Perhaps unique in the field of operations analysis, SYSTRA and its analytical tools have the capability to move seamlessly from planning to final design and biddable documents using the same software tools. Our Operations Analysis staff interacts closely with our Software staff, which means a better simulation tool for all end users – external and internal.  In addition, due to SYSTRA’s strong focus on innovation, our operations analysts are capable of accepting and meeting project challenges.

SYSTRA provides operations analysis for passenger and commuter rail agencies, state departments of transportation, freight railroads, consulting firms, and systems suppliers and integrators. Our operations analysts perform a wide range of operational feasibility, capacity, travel time improvement, and passenger flow analyses using our proprietary RAILSIM® Simulation Software Suite. RAILSIM’s unique capabilities in passenger modeling, delay analysis, fleet requirements and operating sensitivity to randomized operations make it an ideal tool for ranking and evaluating numerous alternatives.
